Friendship

This month we will be studying friendship. Here are a few thoughts about friends.

A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend that sticks closer than a brother.

Some friends play at friendship, but a true friend sticks closer than one's nearest kin.
The Bible, Proverbs 18:24

There is actually a town in Wisconsin called Friendship. It's just north of Wisconsin Dells and right next to Adams Wisconsin. You don't have to go to friendship to find friends. Hopefully you can find them right where you are. But Maybe a fieldtrip to friendship is in order.

Individuality

This month we are studying individuality in the Bible Discovery Zones. Why is it important to be a part of this lesson? God has made each of us to be like him and yet each of us are so different. Instead of disregarding our differences, we should be celebrating our differences. Since we are all made in the image of God, each of our differences is a piece of the puzzle.

Gratitude

With the month of November we celebrate Thanksgiving. What a great time to talk about gratitude. Gratitude is letting others know you see how they’ve helped you. Check out the new lessons each week in the Bible Discovery Zones.

Speaking of gratitude, I want to encourage you remember our troops during the upcoming holiday season. A good website to check out is Operation Gratitude at http://www.opgratitude.com/. You can help send care packages to men and women who are serving our country in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Guard Your Heart

This week we studied the life of Samson and how he did not guard his heart. He gave his heart to a woman who loved money more than she loved Samson.

Everyday we make choices who and what we love. It is very important that we watch the choices we make. The best way to guard our hearts is to draw close to God.
